Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nThe Strategic Technology \u0026 Capture Sourcing Manager leads a team of technologists and supply chain specialists that help shape sourcing strategies for tech discriminators and priority captures within the Mission Systems (MS) sector. This manager partners across internal functions (including Business Development, Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain), Divisions, suppliers, and Industrial Base Policy organizations to shape investment and design decisions that improve speed, producibility, affordability, and capacity. \n\nWe are looking for an experienced and cross-functional leader, comfortable executing in ambiguous and fast-moving situations. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, a strong communicator, and a strategic thinker. \n\nThis is an onsite position located in Linthicum, MD.\n\nResponsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:\n\n * Developing forecasts and sourcing strategies for critical technologies\n\n * Providing sourcing support for priority captures\n\n * Partnering with Engineering and other functions to drive producibility, develop supplier capabilities and capacity, and reduce sourcing risks. Includes driving commonality in design features (e.g., through usage of product lines and building blocks)\n\n * Managing MS make/buy strategy and the Sector Make/Buy Council\n\n * Managing strategic partner agreements and associated Executive Committees\n\n * Pursuing and managing investments (including NCTA, supplier, and government funding) to mature technologies in advance of program awards\n\n\n\n\nThe International Sourcing \u0026 Industrial Engagement team will also report to this manager. \n\n#MPR\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree and at least 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments OR Master\u2019s degree with at least 6 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments\n\n * At least 5 years leading teams/people either direct or indirect\n\n * Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering processes, defense technologies, and defense programs\n\n * Experience preparing proposals for government acquisitions\n\n * US Citizenship\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience with and a working knowledge of MS product lines and technology building blocks\n\n * Experience working with suppliers on advanced technologies\n\n * Experience in business development and associated customer interactions\n\n * Experience with international sourcing, industrial participation, and offset management\n\n * Current and/or Active DoD Secret level\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $251,300.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
