This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.\n\nThe Manager Manufacturing Engineer 2 will be responsible for taking the product design and converting it into a sequence of detailed assembly/ manufacturing instructions, which will include the following responsibilities:\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Create new and modify existing assembly/ manufacturing instructions with necessary operations to support build sequence, while also including specifications/quality requirements and maintaining a bill of material (BOM)\n\n * Provide guidance to Design Engineering during drawing reviews regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques; and to identify any manufacturability challenges or changes required ahead of drawing release.\n\n * Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and engineering specifications. You will also drive the team to support the production floor in a liaison role. Finally, We pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must have a Bachelor\u2019s Degree AND 5 years of engineering experience in production assembly/fabrication including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing OR Master\u0027s Degree AND 3 years of engineering experience in production assembly/fabrication including composites, metallic, coatings application, and/or production manufacturing\n\n * Must have 2 year of prior management/leadership experience in related field\n\n * Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors\n\n * Must have an Active DOD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n * Must be willing to work any shift.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical)\n\n * Understanding of Engineering, Tooling, Production, Program Management and GSC Subcontracts Processes.\n\n * Experienced in dynamic environments where here may be schedule changes, design changes and validation failures.\n\n * Experience with Earned Value Management and CAM\n\n * Must have a complete understanding of aircraft operations and maintenance as well as a through knowledge of aircraft scheduling.\n\n * Experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment\n\n * Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment\n\n * Complex assembly or composite experience and process knowledge\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
