POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Manager of Nursing helps promote the overall physical and mental health of clients. This role utilizes the Trauma-Informed Care approach to promote healing in a safe, stigma-free environment with compassion for all people. This position provides leadership and operational guidance for all staff within the Crisis Recovery Center and other programs within the agency as assigned. This position manages in accordance with the organization’s Strategic Plan, policies, procedures and standards from accrediting, licensing, and payor organizations. The position

has general responsibility for development of service delivery systems that meet the needs of consumers, customers, constituents, and the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Collaborates as an integrated team by sharing information, best practices and results openly.

• Builds and retains a talented workforce by developing, engaging and empowering personnel to fulfill their potential.

• Coordinates CRC staff schedules. Addresses coverage issues (call offs, schedule changes, vacations, etc.)

• Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the CRC program, assesses community   needs,   and coordinates operations of the program with other Agency programs and departments.

• Responsible for self-development and supports a learning environment.

• Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management.

• Accountable and responsible to the achievement of organizational and financial goals.

• Participates in quality improvement plans.

• Contributes to the development of position descriptions for new CRC positions and makes recommendations regarding staffing needs in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and the Director of Crisis Services.

• In conjunction with Director of Crisis Services assumes responsibility for the human resource component of the CRC staff; including staffing plans, position request and descriptions, staff performance evaluations, productivity requirements, documentation, recruiting and hiring, supervision and discipline.

• Participates as a member of the clinical leadership team. Attends regular meetings with coordinators, prescribers, etc.

• Communicates with case managers, counselors, clinical supervisors, and other members of the treatment team relevant information concerning care of clients, especially those dealing with multiple physical/mental health care problems.

• Collaborates and coordinates linkages with agencies and treatment providers in the community for continued physical/mental health care.

• Conducts and monitors staff training and development.

• Completes all necessary documentation to service delivery. Provides written communication for necessary services inside and outside the agency.

• Attends required staff meetings.

• Reacts to change and stress productively.

• All other duties as assigned.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

To perform the essential functions of this job, after an orientation period, the employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Riveon Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence to clients' rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues. Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work is provided in an office setting or other program areas as required must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Due to the extensive computer work this individual must be able to sit for extended periods of time and operate required equipment.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse. A BSN degree or higher is preferred. Experience working with severely mentally disabled persons preferred. Prior supervisory and leadership experience is preferred. Computer skills including familiarity with Windows and Word applications required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. The

 

necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee possess a valid Ohio driver's license, have proof of adequate personal automobile insurance, and use of a personal vehicle. Favorable references and/or evaluations are required. Candidates with educational backgrounds and training in trauma-informed and/or trauma-specific services, a plus.


Salary Description

$75,000+ based on experience
