Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Programs 3 - Tooling for a large-scale program. This position reports directly to the Director of Infrastructure and Capacity Expansion. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.\n\nThe ideal candidate thrives on shaping and developing high-value strategy and execution of multiple projects for a complex program, orchestrating proposal activities to achieve organization goals that align with customer\u2019s strategic objectives while ensuring successful program execution. \n\nResponsibilities may include but are not limited to: \n\n * Directing all phases of program from inception through completion\n\n * Responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs\n\n * Acting as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance\n\n * Establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications\n\n * Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas\n\n * Collaborating across program and functional teams and ensure on-time execution\n\n * Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks (e.g. technical, cost, schedule, legal, security) and maintaining risk register and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed\n\n * Strategically managing NCTA budgets (B\u0026P and M\u0026S) with financial rigor and predictability\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master\u2019s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below\n\n * Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.\n\n * Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\n\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n\n * 3 years of experience in a Project Management or Program Management related role \n\n * Experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment; specifically, as it related to the tooling process\n\n * Experience with using Microsoft Office tool suite; Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel\n\n * Minimum of 5-years of experience on large aircraft programs with budget and EVMS responsibilities\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u2019s Degree from an accredited university\n\n * Demonstrated knowledge of Earned Value Management System\n\n * Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production program management specific roles\n\n * Current Special Program Access (PAR)\n\n * Certified Control Account Manager (CAM)\n\n * Experience using Jira, Kanban\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $193,000.00 - $289,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
