Description

Leadership



  • Must have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in supervision of a quality department.

  • Must have a proven record leading and developing people

  • Leadership skills, assertiveness, initiative, planning/organizing and follow-up monitoring

  • Develops departmental bench strength through personnel development

  • Provide guidance and develop accountability system to ensure that all SOP’s and process controls are followed 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)


Communication



  • Experience relaying sensitive information to appropriate parties. Keeps customers, superiors, peers and direct reports updated based on their information needs

  • Is an articulate speaker in a variety of settings. Easily adjusts the message to match the audience.

  • Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.

  • Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities.

  • Lead and encourage continuous improvement efforts.

  • Works across departments to identify and implement specific quality initiatives

  • Involve managers, supervisors and employee teams in continuous improvement efforts

  • Coordinate development of written communication including standard operating procedures and work instructions

  • Comfortable speaking to audiences


Experience/Skills



  • Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Must be capable of implementing process controls that validate and insure that procedures are followed

  • Skilled at completing audits of manufacturing floor for compliance to standards

  • Investigate quality errors, internal and external,  and issue corrective action

  • Assure that SOP’s are created, trained, enforced and audited.

  • Experience of ISO Requirements is a must.

  • Analyze current processes to identify and prioritize opportunities that would result in improved service to customers and/or improve productivity/efficiency 

  • Develop (and/or sustain), communicate and monitor quality tracking systems

  • Identify, specify, document and implement manufacturing best practices methods, procedures, tooling and equipment required to support operations.

  • Experience with PPAP process up to level 4. 

  •  Extensive knowledge of GD&T is a must.
