This is a full-time on-site position in Salt Lake City.\n\nThis leader will enable high performing teams and will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and reporting on the health and quality of products and services. The position requires the manager to act as thought-leader and requires a candidate with strong leadership presence and decision-making skills with the ability to lead in an environment of ambiguity and continuous change.\n\nWhat you\u0027ll get to do:\n\n * Manage either the Factory Inspection Team or the Receiving Inspection and Sell Off Team, depending on the best fit for the candidate.\n * Responsible for leadership of a team of quality inspectors and analysts at the Salt Lake City, UT site.\n * Meet all functional compliance, budget, and financial targets for Q\u0026MA.\n * Strategy execution collaboration with the division, sector, and corporate Q\u0026MA organizations.\n * Represent the Q\u0026MA function and support various business report out forums such as Operational Units, Business Units and Division.\n * Manage a diverse inspection team responsible for part and material inspection, contractual compliance, and quality oversight for a wide variety of manufacturing processes.\n * Regularly interact with on-site Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) representatives regarding product quality, audits, and corrective actions.\n * Leverage metrics and customer \u0026 employee feedback to assess team performance \u0026 continuous improvement. Determine appropriate resource allocation to ensure mission success.\n * Provide clear assignments, help employees connect their day-to-day efforts to the bigger picture, create an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect, and build a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance.\n * Influences employee development with the focus on strong succession planning and strategic leadership movement, and partners to build leadership depth.\n\n\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills with an intimate knowledge of inspection methodologies. The candidate will have a metric focused management style and be adept at ensuring accountability through data. The candidate will be familiar with Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industry.\n\nBasic Qualifications for the Manager Quality 2:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing; Master\u0027s Degree with 6 years of experience; Associate Degree with 10 years of experience; OR 12 years of experience in lieu of degree.\n * Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience (Integrated Product Teams leadership or direct-line management).\n * Experience working in a manufacturing environment.\n * Experience managing budgets and financial performance.\n * Experience with Quality Management Systems.\n * U.S. Citizenship Required.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in STEM, Management, or Business.\n * Quality Management System experience (Principles and Operating. Practices, ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer FAR \u0026 DFAR requirements).\n * Experience with customer interactions, including DCMA and MDA.\n * Financial planning, budgeting, and earned value experience for both proposals and program execution.\n * Defense Industry experience as a Program or Project Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, or Manufacturing Manager.\n * Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification with experience to drive continuous improvement.\n * Hands on inspection experience using industry standard tools\n * Experience with reading and understanding contractual requirements and how they affect quality requirements.\n * Active Secret Clearance.\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
