Software Engineering 1 to lead a team of talented software engineers and ensure quality engineering support to programs, IRADs and new business pursuits in the Weapons Integration \u0026 Mission Solutions (WIMS) Business Unit. The location of this position is Beavercreek, OH or WPAFB, OH. The Software Engineering Manager will be working alongside fellow engineering professionals as we continue to provide engineering solutions for our customers. The position supports the engineering organization goals for providing people, processes and tools to meet the current and future needs of the programs and technologies within the sector portfolio. This role will help foster the establishment and maintenance of a world class Software and Digital Technologies organization.\n\nThe selected candidate will provide functional leadership to the team in a strong engineering organization, collaborating with peers across multiple organizations. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. The candidate will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must.\n\nThe selected candidate will also actively participate in engineering activities related to our Intelligence, Systems, Infrastructure, Tools \u0026 Enhancements (InSITE) Program as well as other relevant Northrop Grumman Defense Systems programs. The candidate will have a track record as an effective team member with excellent engineering skills. The successful candidate will be authorized for ~15% indirect charging to perform duties associated with this position. \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering development projects or Master\u0027s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering development projects\n * An active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) clearance\n * Experience in managing the implementation and delivery of sophisticated engineering solutions in support of Government customers\n * Previous experience in people and/or technical leadership roles\n * Must have 85% coverage on an existing direct program OR qualify for an open Northrop Grumman requisition at Beavercreek or WPAFB for a technical engineering role.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active TS/SCI Security Clearance\n * Experience leading a team in the Engineering department of a matrix-like organization\n * Experience leading engineering teams using Agile processes and continuous integration / continuous deployment processes and tools\n * Knowledge of AFRL/RI contracting process and procedures\n * Experience working with National Air Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Combat Command (ACC) or Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).\n * Experience working with multiple subcontractors concurrently\n * Business development and/or proposal experience\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
