Manager, Strategic Relationships

Job Overview

As part of the Corporate Strategy / Strategic Relationships team, this role will be responsible for executive communications and key account strategy and business development support to increase revenue, strengthen relationships, and build positive corporate reputation, credibility, and visibility. This position will also play a key role in anticipating, researching and developing internal guidance and client communications on industry and policy trends. 

The ideal candidate is an excellent written communicator with a strategic mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and previous experience in sales, consulting, or account management. They should be comfortable managing multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously. Additionally, they are highly motivated, collaborative, proactive, and comfortable joining a fast-paced, highly visible team that works closely with members of TerraCycle’s C-Suite. 

Primary Responsibilities

Support C-level business development and client relationships

• Lead CEO and senior-leader outreach by preparing personalized correspondence with partners and the media
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and meeting briefings for the CEO and other senior leaders (BU and Regional GMs, C-Suite) 
• Lead travel and events-related meeting coordination and briefing materials 

Coordinate account and business development strategy

• Liaise with internal business development and account management teams to source and identify gaps in contact lists and strategic outreach opportunities 
• Lead CEO business development campaigns to serve the needs of different BUs
• Maintain CRM and processes to document client feedback and engagements and disseminate strategies and activities globally, across all businesses
• Provide insight and recommendations by account on progress of conversations or proposals to support development of global/North America account strategies
• Manage existing relationships via strategic communications touchpoints 
• Remain aware of TerraCycle news, industry and policy trends to identify content for senior-level engagement

Support team administrative and cross-functional projects 

• Create and maintain company-wide resources including team Intranet, case studies, email templates, training materials, monthly top-to-top meeting calendar, and more.
• Support miscellaneous strategic projects including Loop, TerraCycle Foundation, Investors, Cross-Selling initiatives, and more. 
• Manage reporting requests and data collection for governments, PROs, and brand partners

Desired Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a consulting, sales, or account management role
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
• Strong project management, prioritization, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Energetic self-starter with a positive, collaborative attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively at many levels of the organization and synthesize key messages for senior management
• Ability to synthesize research and data and apply to company and/or client strategies
• Experience or interest in sustainability is a plus
• Prior experience with Hubspot CRM a plus
