Exciting Opportunity: Manager, Workers Compensation and Workplace Accommodations

Join the Employee Health team to lead the Workers Compensation and Workplace Accommodations programs with creativity and care. Inspire collaboration, drive innovation, and support employees throughout their journey.

Role Overview

  • Program Management: Oversee MSKs Workers Compensation and Workplace Accommodations programs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Strategy Development: Create and update program strategies and objectives, staying informed of regulatory changes.
  • Injury Prevention: Analyze work-related injury trends and identify opportunities for prevention.
  • Collaboration: Work with Employee Health providers, HR, Environmental Health & Safety, Third-Party Administrators (TPA), and others to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Committee Participation: Join cross-functional committees, prepare reports, and conduct program reviews.
  • Training and Presentations: Develop materials and deliver presentations on workers compensation and workplace accommodations.
  • Metrics Tracking: Monitor program effectiveness and explore cost-saving opportunities.
  • Team Supervision: Manage staff, provide training, evaluate performance, and support career development.

Key Qualifications

  • Expertise in workers compensation and workplace accommodations regulations.
  • Related experience in HR management or clinical work (e.g., NP, PA, or RN) is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and evaluating performance.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and adapting programs in a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in data management, informatics, and financials (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop program objectives and adapt to regulatory updates.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with clinicians, HR teams, and external vendors.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations.
  • Critical Thinking: Address workplace injury cases and optimize program processes.
  • Project Management: Manage initiatives from conception to execution.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
