Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support a senior client in Tacoma.
This is a meaningful opportunity to provide one-on-one care in the comfort of a client’s home, allowing you to build a genuine connection while helping someone remain safe, independent, and comfortable.
This position requires a caregiver who speaks Mandarin, as the client’s primary language is Mandarin. In order to provide safe care, clear communication, and meaningful companionship, the caregiver must be able to understand and speak Mandarin with the client. This ensures the client’s needs, safety concerns, and daily interactions are properly understood and supported.
$22.50–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
In addition to this assignment, caregivers may have the opportunity to pick up additional open shifts that fit their schedule.

Schedule: Part-time hours
Provide companionship and emotional support
Engage in meaningful conversation and activities
Assist with personal care such as dressing, grooming, and mobility
Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
Maintain a safe and clean environment
Communicate updates regarding the client’s condition and daily activities
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
A genuine passion for caring for seniors
CNA or HCA certification required
Minimum 1 year caregiving experience
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license
Must have a reliable cell phone and be comfortable using caregiving apps for scheduling and documentation
Must be able to write clear and accurate documentation in English
Must be comfortable using technology to clock in/out, review care plans, and complete shift notes
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
At least 18 years of age
Reliability is essential in this role. Our clients depend on consistent care, so applicants must be dependable and committed to showing up for scheduled shifts.
Accurate documentation is an essential part of providing safe, high-quality care. Caregivers are required to complete detailed shift notes in our caregiving app at the end of every visit, documenting the care provided, the client’s condition, and any changes observed.
Clear communication through documentation helps ensure continuity of care between caregivers and keeps families and the care team informed.
