Eaton\u2019s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical.\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing cells of new and existing products. In this role, you will be responsible for managing process documents, tooling and test equipment for production and development hardware, driving continuous improvement, performing ergonomic assessments and providing typical Manufacturing Engineering rigor required for Aerospace Industry product realization. This position is located in Orchard Park, NY. \n \n\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. \n\u2022 Responsible for Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activity in support of site safety goals. \n\u2022 Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions \n\u2022 Design, Maintain tooling and electronic test equipment for mature or new production. \n\u2022 Full understanding and use of DMM\u2019s, Oscilliscopes, power sources. \n\u2022 Understand electric circuit troubleshooting theory and testing techniques \n\u2022 Perform basic wiring tasks for testing and development \n\u2022 Utilize experience with programming, PLC ladder logic and I/O for digital and analog devices. \n\u2022 Utilize working knowledge of single and three phase circuits \n\u2022 Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvement \n\u2022 Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues \n\u2022 Support Capital expenditures- define equipment needed, work with suppliers to get quotes, develop ROI \n\u2022 Work with cross functional team to address non conformances and yield issues on products\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering and minimum 2 years of work experience in electrical component manufacturing or testing. \nOR Associates degree and a minimum 5 years of work experience in in electrical component manufacturing or testing. \n\u2022 Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. \n\u2022 Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future \n\u2022 This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelors degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. \n\u2022 Experience/knowledge in Aerospace soldering specifications and requirements \n\u2022 Experience leading process improvements and continuous improvement projects \n\u2022 Experience in troubleshooting/design of electrical test apparatus for production use. \n\u2022 Knowledge of PFMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis \u2013 within Manufacturing) \n\u2022 Organizational, communication, leadership, personal computing, performance management skills \n\u2022 Experience with Solidworks modeling software, AutoCad electrical \n\u2022 Experience with digital and analog circuit/equipment design, testing and troubleshooting\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
