Here, you\u2019ll be supported in progressing \u2013 whatever your ambitions. \n\nAbout the role:\n\n \nThe Manufacturing Engineer leads engineering initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operational goals within our Access and Delivery Solution Assembly (ASDA) business. Whether your passion lies in systems, software, human factors, or beyond, this is a place where you can grow your career and be part of something bigger\u2014advancing science for life.\n\nBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.\n\nYour responsibilities will include: \n\n * Monitor performance of equipment and processes, providing troubleshooting and root cause analysis of non-conformances, low yields, or other quality/production issues.\n * Communicate effectively to an audience consisting of peers, operations management, and supporting divisions (R\u0026D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, etc)\n * Plan, organize and prioritize daily work to meet production and project goals.\n * Apply problem solving and process improvement methodologies to complex and diverse manufacturing processes, across multiple product lines \u2013 lead root cause analysis and resolution.\n * Mentor team members, including engineers, technicians, and manufacturing operators.\n * Supports technicians during troubleshooting activities when technical issues arise on the production floor.\n * Recognize quality signals and escalate appropriately within the quality system requirements.\n * Lead projects with cross-functional team members working towards common business goals and gaining support for new ideas and continuous improvement.\n * Work collaboratively with divisional customer teams to deliver on process improvements, change management, new product introductions, or business continuity projects\n * Gather, analyze, and summarize data \u2013 drawing conclusions, and reporting out to peers and management\n * Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and communicate them to the appropriate levels to ensure completion. \n * Prepare effectively for potential risks and take constructive action when facing challenges or unexpected issues.\n\n\n\n \nRequired qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering (preferably Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical)\n * Minimum 4 years of engineering experience\n\n\n * Practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving, data analysis, and production flow tools (i.e. DMAIC and LEAN manufacturing)\n\n\n * Ability to provide creative solutions and collaboratively draw ideas from cross functional teams\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * Device assembly/testing and packaging systems experience\n * Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization\n\n\n * Experience in the medical device industry\n\n\n * Experience performing equipment qualification activities (testing, documentation, training, etc.) \n * Experience with polymers, sub-assemblies and/or thermal processes\n * Aptitude for advanced data analysis\n\n\n\nRequisition ID: 621215\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 76000\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 144400\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
