Here, you\u2019ll be supported in progressing \u2013 whatever your ambitions. \n\nAbout the role:\n\nThis is a 3rd shift role focused on supporting machining (CNC mills and Swiss lathes), wire electrical discharge machining (EDM), and stamping operations in Arden Hills. Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, preventative maintenance, as well as performing quality testing related to the production of machined/stamped components. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of taking directions and delivering results with little supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills and work closely with manufacturing engineers to complete tasks such as new equipment evaluation forms, equipment procedures, validation support, etc.\n\n \n\nWork Mode: \nAt Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at five days per week.\n\n \nRelocation: \nRelocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.\n\n \nVISA: \nBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.\n\n \n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n * Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations.\n * Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time\n * Identifies and implements corrective actions for various manufacturing related issues\n * Regularly completes scheduled/preventive and calibration maintenance\n * Routinely responds \u0026 executes equipment maintenance and/or coordinates with outside contractors\n * Installs and validates equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.\n * Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. May develop or revise documents and procedures.\n * Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools, and fixtures.\n * Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians\n * Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures as necessary\n * Additional duties as required\n\n\n\n \n\nRequired qualifications:\n\n2 years of experience with HS degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience\n\n \n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline with 7+ years of related experience\n * Proven record of working closely and successfully with manufacturing and process development engineers\n * Comfortable reading electrical schematics and part drawings\n * Basic understanding of medical device documentation requirements\n * Great attitude and strong desire to learn new skills\n * Strong mechanical aptitude\n * Manufacturing background\n * Medical Device regulation experience\n * Experience with CNC Mills, Swiss-style Lathes, and Wire EDM equipment\n\n\n\n \n\nRequisition ID: 627119\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 43368\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 73736\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
