Marketing Coordinator

Join the team at one of New England’s most distinguished resorts. Cliff House Maine is looking to add a dynamic, guest-centric, Brand Ambassador to its marketing team. The Marketing Coordinator plays an integral role in bringing our brand to life, working closely with guests, internal departments, 3^rd party partners and creative agencies on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with great initiative, who moves comfortably between creative and administrative responsibilities. They have a natural talent for storytelling, a passion for Maine and eagerness to share our brand story. This is a highly collaborative role with exposure to all facets of marketing, resulting in 360-degree brand involvement.

This full year, full-time position operates fully on-site and reports to the Director of Marketing + Programming.

Wage: $22.00 - $25.00 based on experience 

Job Responsibilities Include:

Relationships + Creativity

• Daily interaction with internal departments – ‘Clients’ - to brainstorm ideas, receive briefings, facilitate marketing campaign development (internally and through agencies)


• Daily monitoring of, and updates to, content for all marketing channels: cliffhousemaine.com (primary focus), social media, in-room digital and print content, promotional + informative print collateral, 3^rd party websites, public relations efforts, digital advertising, Shopify retail site, Aven retail offering, etc.


• Participate in briefs and status calls with brand agencies (Digital, PR + Social), maintain calendar of content changes, facilitate project development and project roll-outs


• Work closely with social media partner to create dynamic content, content schedules, build follower + brand partner relationships and grow our targeted Cliff House following.


• Produce brand materials for in-house use, following Cliff House Maine brand guidelines.


• Assist with creation and execution of special events programming.

Marketing Administration

• Coordinate site visits for public relations guests (amenities + reservations, welcome notes, addressing special requests, VIP forms)


• Assist with on-site photo shoots (interdepartmental communication, props, scheduling)


• Create and maintain year-round calendar for programming, produce monthly ‘At The Helm’ bulletin and assist with development and production of newsletter (The Navigator)


• Coordinate print collateral, amenities and brand materials (creation, monitoring, ordering, proofing, pick-up, invoicing, inventory management)


• Organize and maintain brand digital asset library


• Administrative support for marketing: proofreading, invoicing, updates + distribution, database management, emails, internal communications, meeting notes, mail/deliveries


• Monitor competitive properties, news and social media for relevant content.

Requirements for this role:
- 2-3 years of related marketing experience including: website content management; digital marketing
  campaign strategy + analysis; social media content generation, scheduling + analysis; brand collateral
  design
- Proficiency with the Adobe Suite + Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn new software/technology
- Basic familiarity with development of digital, audio and print communications
- Basic knowledge of site performance (g4) analysis
