Job Description - Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Family & Children’s Services Marketing Department. This position combines administrative coordination with copywriting, graphic design and content production. The coordinator helps ensure marketing projects and materials are accurate, timely, brand-consistent and responsive to organizational needs. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.  


POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:     



  • Manage the inventory, organization and distribution of marketing collateral and promotional items.  



  • Fulfill marketing material requests from departments across the organization.  



  • Coordinate with printers and other vendors to support the timely production and delivery of marketing materials.  



  • Provide administrative and project coordination support for Marketing Department activities, including e-commerce activities.  



  • Draft, edit and proofread content for social media, email, web, print and other communication channels.  



  • Create and update basic graphic design materials using established templates and FCS brand standards.  



  • Assist with content gathering, project tracking and coordination with internal subject-matter experts.  



  • Support FCS podcast production through scheduling, guest coordination, logistics and promotional content.  



  • Support community social events through registration, setup, logistics and preparation of marketing materials.  



  • Review materials for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.  



  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.  



  • Occasional evening or weekend work and local travel may be required.  


QUALIFICATIONS 


education: 



  • Associate degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 


EXPERIENCE: 



  • At least two years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, administrative support or a related area.  



  • Experience drafting, editing or proofreading content for print or digital communications.  



  • Experience creating or modifying basic visual materials using templates and established brand guidelines.  



  • Experience coordinating projects, managing requests or providing administrative support in a deadline-driven environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 



  • Strong written communication, proofreading and basic copywriting skills.  



  • Foundational graphic design skills and an understanding of layout, typography and visual consistency.  



  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.  



  • Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.  



  • Ability to organize multiple assignments, manage deadlines and maintain attention to detail.  



  • Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with employees, vendors and community partners.  



  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling organizational information.  


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 



  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record to use agency and/or personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION: 


This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.  Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.  Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening.  Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children’s Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
