Job Description - Marketing Director






Overview






Job Summary

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the development, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns that support HMA's growth objectives. This role translates organizational priorities into marketing initiatives, oversees campaign planning and execution, manages marketing operations and processes, and utilizes performance data and market insights to optimize results. The Marketing Director partners with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business objectives and customer needs while leading and developing a high-performing marketing team.









Responsibilities






Work Performed and Job Requirements

  • Marketing Campaign Leadership
    • Develop, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns that support organizational growth objectives and priority business areas.
    • Translate organizational priorities and marketing direction into actionable campaign plans that drive awareness, engagement, and business development opportunities.
    • Utilize campaign performance data and market insights to optimize targeting, messaging, channel selection, and campaign effectiveness.
    • Monitor and report campaign performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Marketing Operations and Process Management
    • Establish, implement, and continuously improve marketing project management processes, workflows, and reporting practices.
    • Ensure marketing initiatives are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with established objectives and performance measures.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and implement best practices across marketing activities.
    • Manage the marketing budget and monitor expenditures to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Marketing Support
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support organizational priorities and marketing initiatives.
    • Partner with thought leadership and content development resources to align marketing activities with business goals and organizational messaging.
    • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure marketing initiatives reflect customer needs, market conditions, and organizational priorities.
  • Market Insights and Performance Analysis
    • Gather, analyze, and communicate insights related to campaign performance, customer engagement, market trends, and industry developments.
    • Utilize data and analytics to inform marketing recommendations and support organizational decision-making.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, monitor, and develop marketing staff by establishing clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting professional development.
    • Evaluate individual and team performance and implement strategies to improve effectiveness and achieve departmental objectives.
    • Identify skill development opportunities and support capability building across the marketing team.
    • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team environment.
  • All other duties assigned.








Qualifications






Education/Training

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or a related field is required.

 

Experience

 

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, integrated marketing campaigns, strategic marketing, or related disciplines. Experience leading marketing initiatives, utilizing data and analytics to evaluate performance, managing budgets, and supervising professional staff is required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of integrated marketing campaign development, execution, and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics, including email marketing, social media, answer engine optimization (AEO), generative experience optimization (GEO), search engine optimization (SEO), and lead generation.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and the ability to utilize data to evaluate performance and inform decision-making.
  • Ability to develop and manage marketing plans, projects, budgets, and priorities.
  • Ability to establish and improve marketing processes and workflows.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively work with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and marketing technology platforms, including CRM and marketing automation systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
