Marketing Multimedia Specialist

Our Marketing Multimedia & E-Services department is looking for a Marketing Multimedia Specialist to be responsible for creating and maintaining design and sales support tools as directed to increase sales and profitability. The employee will work with members of the marketing department, sales, sales support and others to ensure continuity in the company’s marketing message. This role adheres to and promotes Southern Farm Bureau’s values by performing respective duties in a manner that supports and contributes to the achievement of Southern Farm Bureau’s goals.

 The qualifications are:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, or related field is required


• Two years as a Marketing Multimedia Specialist or comparable work experience


• Working knowledge of graphic design standards and software


• Working knowledge of web content management systems


• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) required


• Thorough knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign required


• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to listen, respond and relate to clients - to explain things clearly to people who may not be very familiar with multimedia products

• Must be dependable, well-organized and an effective time manager


• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully managing multiple projects at once and quickly adapting to changing deadlines and projects.


• Must multitask and take direction from possible multiple owners of projects

 The role responsibilities are:

• Develop various communication pieces and thoughts that are to be articulated through internal stakeholders.


• Develop content for print and electronic publications, website development, social media marketing, meeting planning and media relations.


• Plan and develop communications with internal clients related to general marketing, development initiatives, events, and general internal and external written or on-line


• Ensure consistent messaging in support of SFBLI vision, mission and values by understanding the Company and Marketing goal alignment; understands brand standards/consistency; uses journalistic tenets of Associated Press style/grammar.


• Schedule the communication and proofing of materials to ensure quality assurance.


• Works closely with external advertising agency on special projects related to Marketing and Communications.


• Develop multimedia packages that include items such as letters, brochures, and/or video content for assignments

• Coordinate photographic projects for the department along with acting as in-house photographer to include staff photos, company stock photos, company events and any other projects. Videographer, capturing and editing video footage incorporating voice overs, audio mixes, etc. as needed.


• Perform tasks surrounding marketing media relations such as answering inquiries, composing press releases, and maintaining a media contact list. Develops and posts news stories and visuals; creates email messages and presentation materials; and creates video scripts.


• Assist marketing management with internal and external communications.
