Marketing Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Project Oversight & Team Leadership

• Lead day-to-day execution of internal and external marketing projects (i.e. social media, digital signage, collateral, merchandising, etc.)


• Manage timelines, creative direction, and brand consistency across deliverables

2. Vendor Management

• Research and vet partners to improve content creation and creative quality


• Manage vendor onboarding, project briefs, and performance expectations


• Translate vendor solutions into actionable outputs for Steel Tech


• Own Appspace across 70+ devices- manage zoning, troubleshooting, and broadcast of channels

3. Website

• Own the website: ROI, functionality, creative direction, and content


• Ensure content accuracy and brand alignment with internal teams


• Translate dense topics into web-friendly content and leverage marketing best practices


• Support SEO, AEO, and UX enhancements to improve visibility and user experience

4. Company Branding

• Review, update, and maintain brand guidelines, templates, and visual asset libraries


• Ensure consistency across platforms, teams, and acquired businesses


• Implement brand governance policies and educate teammates on usage standards


• Coordinate company merchandise branding and purchases

5. Communication & Organizational Collaboration

• Partner with departments to deliver content aligned with business goals


• Support translation, change management, and alignment of marketing initiatives across U.S., Mexico, and Canada


• Lead integration of marketing tools and processes in acquired companies


• Create templates and assist with presentation preparations


• Maintain up to date library of regularly used presentation materials


• Company outreach


•      i. Join industry groups, attend events, and identify opportunities for involvement and collaboration


•      ii. Seek out opportunities to partner with organizations in the communities where we live and work

6. Media Management & Strategy

• Manage content, strategy, and governance across all Steel Tech social accounts


• Develop long-term relationships with local photographers and videographers to acquire photos and video footage of our facilities and departments


• Maintain library of internal videos (CEO monthly videos, training, safety, etc.)

7. Tech & Data

• Promote innovation by introducing and supporting adoption of new platforms and/or new technologies


• Analyze KPI's and deliver actionable reports, dashboards, and insights


• Support daily digital tools and advise on broader tech initiatives

8. Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft products, and platforms like Appspace, SharePoint, and more


• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro preferred


• Experience with video and audio production, internal messaging, and branded digital signage


• Familiarity with HTML basics, SEO and AEO, website CMS platforms, and UX/UI principles


• Ability to analyze performance metrics using Google Analytics and social reporting tools

Soft Skills:

• Strong project coordination, multi-tasking, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with executives, peers, and vendors


• Demonstrated ability to lead content workflows, enforce brand standards, and manage vendor relationships


• Must be able to operate independently, prioritize work, and adapt to fast-paced environments


• Innovative, solutions-focused thinker who brings creative and strategic ideas to execution


• Some travel required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

 A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Leadership experience, including mentoring team members, is strongly preferred. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This work is predominately performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people. Occasionally, work will be performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment. The temperature of the facility will vary based on outside weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance may be required as deemed necessary by management.
