Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift Matchup/String Tier (Operator A) at our Longview, NC manufacturing plant. 

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. This position is responsible for filling pillows / cushion ticks (covers) with natural feather, down or polyester fiber products.  Lifting on a repetitive basis is required with this position.  

Additional Responsibilities:

• Group customer item numbers together by style number, purchase number, and date.


• Once matched up, string tie into sets per customer request. 

Education: 

High school diploma or GED.

Skills and requirements:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.


• Ability to read and interpret work orders


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment


• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department


• Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure


• Perform basis math skills


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Work Hours:  Sun - Thurs, 9:00pm - 5:30am or depending on business needs

Hourly Rate: $22.02 - 22.75 plus $1.00/hr shift premium for all hours work on 3rd shift.
