We are now hiring a Material Handler for our Dallas location.

The Opportunity

As a Material Handler, you will:

· Unload product from delivery truck

· May assist Receivers by receiving incoming building materials and placing them into inventory 

· Pulling ordered material from inventory and staging it for pickups and deliveries 

· Maintain all products in a high quality and marketable condition 

· Keep accurate inventory records 

· Operating a forklift safely and efficiently and being able to handle heavy and awkward loads 

· Estimating the weight of forklift loads so that the delivery vehicles are properly loaded and are not overweight 

· Physically sorting through various products in order to remove defective material 

· Responsibilities may include assisting with delivery of materials to customers or jobsites 

· Delivery functions including unloading and staging of product at jobsites as assigned

· Organizing and maintaining the warehouse for effective and efficient utilization of available storage space while also ensuring that all products can be quickly retrieved for shipment 

· Maintains a clean work area, free from debris on warehouse floor

· Assists in other areas as needed

Who Thrives Here

Individuals who succeed in this role have:

· High School diploma or GED preferred

· 1 – 2 years related experience

· Basic math and organization skills

· Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs. or more

· Detail-oriented mindset

· Strong data entry and computer skills

· Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) and experience with pallet jacks required

· Ability to work on feet for long hours

· Team Player and willingness to help in other areas

· Excellent communication skills

· Understanding of safety protocols and requirements

This is a hands-on role in a warehouse environment requiring standing, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and working around machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Safety equipment is provided and required.
