Job Description - Material Handler - 2nd shift

Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 2nd shift at our Reno, NV facility! \n\nThe core hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift differential.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits that we offer:\n\n * Health benefits effective day one of employment. \n * Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more!\n\n\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies \u0026 finished goods\n * Load and unload trailers as required\n * Pick and pull stock for delivery\n * Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis\n * Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis\n * Complete forklift inspection on a daily basis\n * Oversee recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler on a daily basis, operating cardboard baler, etc.) \n * Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.\n * Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.\n * Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Reno, NV (50 miles) will be considered for this position.\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n * Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodations.\n * Able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with or without reasonable assistance.\n * Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.\n\n\n\nSkills:\n\n * Ability to communicate effectively.\n * Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.\n * Ability to work overtime with little to no notice as necessary for customer requirements.\n\n\n\n#LI-SK1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
