Material Mover/Handler - 1st Shift

Eaton\u0027s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Material Mover/Handler - 1st Shift. The core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.77 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Perform various duties to load and unload carriers, operate staging elevator and transfer conveyors, and transport material within Team Blue as required.\n * Operate fork lift truck or hand truck to move, stack and deliver material to/from proper destinations or storage areas.\n * Move machined parts, castings, assemblies, material and supplies about the department as directed, from station to station, to and from storage areas and to other departments, etc.\n * Move skids and containers with cognizance for safety and efficient utilization of space.\n * Exercise care in stacking to avoid shifting or falling of materials. \n * Change LP gas tanks or check and replenish battery water on trucks as necessary and perform a variety of related or associated duties as required or directed.\n * Make simple hook-up to charging apparatus.\n * Count and sort parts by hand. Keep operators and assemblers supplied with work and see that move ticket accompanies outgoing material.\n * Required to run errands or perform other related duties as directed.\n * Administer the 5\u2019s.\n * Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition and report all questionable cases and mechanical malfunctions to proper supervision.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\n\n * Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\n * A minimum of six (6) months of Fork Truck experience\n * A minimum of six (6) months of Manufacturing experience \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
