Job Description - Material Team Lead (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift
Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Team Lead (Avery Creek) - 2nd Shift to join our team.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 4:00pm-2:30am.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Material Team Lead will assist in leading supply chain activities (shipping, receiving, warehouse and kitting). In addition, they will ensure material availability and achieve inventory targets through complete materials management (Kanban, Consignment, etc.) for Avery Creek and El Paso, TX sites. \n \nIn this function you will: \n\u2022 Provide motivation and encouragement to the Avery Creek Supply chain team, ensuring that they are continually made aware of all workplace goals surrounding production, safety and quality \n\u2022 Help champion continuous improvement and other CIF efforts \n\u2022 Lead Tier 1 meetings, implement and maintain visual controls and participate in Gemba walks \n\u2022 Demand Planning Responsibilities for Avery Creek site \n\u2022 Support El Paso Material Procurement personnel. \n\u2022 Maintain a strong working relationship with both Eaton and non-Eaton vendors. \n\u2022 Work with Supply Chain Team for broader SC projects/tasks as necessary. \n\u2022 Observe all safety regulations as specified or directed. \n\u2022 Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace. \n\u2022 Milk Runs between AVC and Heywood sites\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 Minimum 2 years of Supply Chain experience \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 Associate\u2019s Degree in electronics from an accredited school required \n\u2022 Previous experience with AS400, MAPICS, Vista, and Enovia \n\u2022 Fork Truck Certified \n\u2022 Previous Supply Chain and/or Planning Experience\n\n## Position Criteria:\n\n\u2022 Understanding of Kanban and other internal stock control methods \n\u2022 Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position \u2013 able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. \n\u2022 Must have proficient computer skills. \n\u2022 Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. \n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees. \n\u2022 Must be able to have strong organizational skills, results oriented, and deal with suppliers, customers, supervisors, etc. in a professional manner\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
