Overview

We are seeking a Materials Manager to lead and enhance our supply chain, inventory management, and logistics operations at our Dothan, AL manufacturing/fabrication facility.  This role is critical in ensuring material availability, production efficiency, and on-time delivery to meet customer demands.

What You'll Do:

Scheduling, Planning, and Customer Delivery

• Coordinate with production schedules to ensure timely customer deliveries.


• Manage raw material availability and proactively adjust production needs to meet demand.


• Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize capacity planning and minimize costs.

Inventory Management

• Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and demand forecasting.


• Oversee excess and obsolete inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels.


• Coordinate movement and scheduling of materials across internal and external processing location.

Warehouse & Logistics Oversight

• Manage inbound and outbound transportation in alignment with company logistics policies.


• Ensure warehouse operations have the necessary resources to execute efficiently and safely.


• Partner with supplier quality teams to drive compliance and improve logistics processes.

Supplier Scheduling & Performance

• Optimize supplier schedules to improve production flow and cost efficiencies.


• Monitor supplier delivery performance, address escalations, and maintain smooth material flow.


• Negotiate and manage agreements and purchase orders for critical materials.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or combination of experience)


• 5 - 7 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or production environments


• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
