Mathnasium Team Lead Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to give candidates an opportunity to experience the Mathnasium environment and help us determine whether the Team Lead position is the right fit for both the candidate and our center.

The process includes three phases and two visits to the center.

Phase I: 15-Minute Phone Call

Candidates will begin with a brief 15-minute phone call.

This conversation allows us to learn more about the candidate, discuss availability, review the responsibilities of the position, and answer initial questions about working at Mathnasium.

Candidates who are a good fit will be invited to move forward to Phase II.

Phase II: Center Visit & Trial Run

Candidates will visit the Mathnasium center for a trial run.

During this visit, candidates will have the opportunity to experience the center environment and demonstrate how they would interact with students.

We will focus on skills such as:

  • Greeting students warmly and confidently.
  • Creating a welcoming and positive first impression.
  • Giving students encouragement and high fives.
  • Checking students in and starting the Digital Workout Plans
  • Communicating naturally with children and families.
  • Following directions and adapting to the flow of the center.
  • Demonstrating the energy, organization, and awareness needed for the Team Lead position.

This is an opportunity for both Mathnasium and the candidate to determine whether the role is a good fit.

Phase III: Official Interview

Candidates who successfully complete the trial run may be invited back to the center for an official interview.

During the interview, we will discuss the position in greater detail, including responsibilities, expectations, availability, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Following the official interview, selected candidates may receive a job offer.

We believe that seeing a candidate interact in the Mathnasium environment is just as important as talking about their experience. Our goal is to find someone who is friendly, energetic, organized, dependable, tech savvy, and excited to help create a positive experience for every student who walks through our doors.
