What you'll do:
Responsible to assign ICD-10 CM diagnosis codes to the residents' medical conditions
Accountable for case management of Medicare Part A and insurance case management
Expertly assess nursing home residents' needs, and coordinating personalized, resident-driven care based on those assessments
Oversee the patient assessment process, setting assessment schedules and assuring that assessments are done in an accurate and timely manner
Make Recommendations and transmit assessments to the Dept. of Health. Review the results to make policy and procedural recommendations to the management staff
Coordinate patient care plan in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that appropriate facility resources are made available to patients and that patient care is delivered effectively
Create the schedule for all Medicare and Medicaid including:
Start Medicare coverage for newly qualified patients and/or send out denial letters
Keep updated on regulatory changes in Medicare coverage and help determine documents needed for Medicaid reimbursement.

What we're looking for:
Registered Nurse with a current IdahoRN license
Extensive knowledge in MDS
One year of MDS experience in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility
Prior clinical experience in a long-term care setting
Extraordinary attention-to-detail, capable of directing other people and managing schedules
Excellent communication skills, expert at working cooperatively as a member of team
Flexible and decisive, responding quickly in high-pressure situations and completing work in a timely, accurate manner
Solid basic computer skills
Proficiency in MDS 3.0
