RIGHT NOW.\n\n##### \n\nJohn Deere is an equal opportunity employer, including disabled \u0026 veterans. \n\nPrimary Location: United States (US) - Louisiana - Thibodaux \nFunction: Factory Engineering (CA) \nTitle: ME Supervisor - Machining and Fabrication - 119690 \nOnsite/Remote:Onsite Position\n\n## Your Responsibilities\n\nAs a MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR for John Deere Thibodaux, located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, you will plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing and factory engineering work supporting machining and fabrication operations. This role integrates technical depth from individual contributor engineering roles with cross-functional leadership and coordination expectations. The supervisor supports safe, high-quality, and efficient manufacturing processes while contributing to continuous improvement, layout development, tooling implementation, and standards development \n \n\u2022 Collaborate closely with Factory Engineering, Manufacturing, Tool Design, Maintenance, and Operations teams to align safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. \n\u2022 Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters. \n\u2022 Delivery of required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan. \n\u2022 Contribute to the design, validation, and implementation of tooling, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment to support new or revised products. \n\u2022 Support factory layout development and material flow optimization to improve efficiency and ergonomics. \n\u2022 Assist in drafting, evaluating, and improving engineering standards, specifications, and work instructions. \n\u2022 Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and apply lean manufacturing and change management principles. \n\u2022 Coordinate activities of contractors, tooling suppliers, and external vendors within established project and contract management plans. \n\u2022 Execute assigned project tasks with accountability, managing scope, schedule, and quality within established guidelines. \n\u2022 Support inspections and evaluations of engineering installations and recommend corrective actions as needed. \n\u2022 Communicate project status, risks, and action plans effectively to stakeholders.\n\nVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position\n\n## What Skills You Need\n\n\u2022 Strong understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and manufacturing engineering principles. \n\u2022 Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo. \n\u2022 Fundamental understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\u0026T), with the ability to apply principles and provide guidance and feedback. \n\u2022 Ability to analyze manufacturing data and translate requirements into effective engineering solutions. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of project management fundamentals and cross-functional collaboration. \n\u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n\u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. \n\u2022 Attention to detail with ability to create and maintain technical documentation. \n\n## What Makes You Standout\n\nOther areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include: \n\u2022 Experience supporting tooling design, build, and implementation in a manufacturing environment. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\u0026T), with the ability to apply concepts and offer guidance and feedback to support sound engineering decisions. \n\u2022 Familiarity with factory layout development and material flow optimization. \n\u2022 Experience applying lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement initiatives. \n\u2022 Exposure to digital twin, simulation, or advanced manufacturing technologies. \n\u2022 Experience coordinating suppliers or contractors on engineering projects.\n\n## Education \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n\n\n\nWhat You\u0027ll Get\n\nAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
