Pay rate will be $15.00 per hour

Part-time position, working Monday only starting at 9:00am (3-4 hours per week)

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Meal Delivery Driver to help deliver frozen meals to older adults throughout the Palatka area. This position provides an important service that helps seniors maintain their health and independence while receiving friendly, respectful support from our team.

A Snapshot of What You’ll Do: 

• Pick up frozen meals from the designated office location
• Safely deliver meals to seniors' homes throughout the Palatka area
• Bring meals into clients' homes when needed and place them on a kitchen counter or other designated location
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules
• Provide friendly, courteous, and respectful service to all clients
• Handle meals carefully to maintain food safety and quality
• Report concerns regarding client well-being or unusual circumstances to the appropriate supervisor
• Maintain client confidentiality and privacy
• Follow all program policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with older adults and staff
• Ability to read and follow instructions, policies, delivery routes, and safety procedures
• Basic math, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Comfortable entering clients' homes to place meals in designated areas when needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and safely enter and exit residences
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat
• No prior experience required; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
