Job Summary:

Join our team and be part of a fast-paced, fun, and friendly environment! As our Meat Manager, you’ll play an important role in overseeing the daily operations of our meat department while providing customers with fresh, high-quality meat products and exceptional service. 

You’ll lead the day-to-day department operations, work with fresh meat products, receive deliveries, portion and price products, create eye-catching displays, and make sure everything meets our high standards for quality and freshness. You’ll also support your team and provide friendly, knowledgeable service to our customers.  Essential Job Functions:

• Perform or supervise the cutting of meat and other products weighing and wrapping customers' orders.
• Pricing, wrapping, and packaging meat for customers’ exact specifications.
• Maintaining a high product knowledge to most effectively facilitate customer orders and respond to queries. 
• Assisting in receiving orders of a necessary quantity.
• Unloading and transporting deliveries of fresh meat and poultry.
• Supervise the work of the department’s team
• Examining and rotating stock to prevent products from perishing.
• Maintaining and displaying a knowledge of food safety procedures.
• Keeping total sanitation of both the store and its meat products.  
• The Meat Manager must be self-motivated, flexible, conscientious, organized, and have good attention to detail. Also, must have good interpersonal and communication skills, and interface well with management, workers, and the public.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a meat sales associate.
• Must have basic knowledge of mathematics for weighing meat and processing transactions.
• Able to differentiate dates to ensure the freshness of the product.
• Work cohesively with the entire pasta and culinary staff as part of a team.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Work with all products and food ingredients involved in established recipes.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Great patience and listening skills.
• Ability to wear non-slip shoes to ensure a safe working environment (please note that the company does not provide).
•  Reliable Transportation
• At least 18 years old
• Fluent in the English language 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, and cold environments and around cleaning agents.
• Ability to work with a variety of fresh food products.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, and move throughout the department.
• Ability to use step-stools and ladders safely.
• Good balance, coordination, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a busy environment.
• Adequate near, far, and peripheral vision and hearing.
