Mechanic

We are looking for a talented mechanic to join our growing company. You will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various bus systems and components. Starting pay will be based on experience and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks regarding preventative maintenance of transit bus vehicles


• Use instruments and gauges, including computers, to test and determine system malfunctions


• Inspect, align, replace, adjust, and repair various bus components and systems


• Prepare written reports and verify that work repair was done with documentation


• Maintain inventory and records on stock parts and supplies

Skills/Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age with good driving history


• Able to obtain or possess an IL state issued Class C CDL with passenger endorsement


• Must meet all D.O.T. physical requirements


• Submit to and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing


• Able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds


• Must possess own tools


• Have proof of ASE certification or completion of Automotive/Diesel repair from an accredited school
