Mechanical Assembler

• Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule for the department via immediate supervisor/team lead and inform immediate supervisor/team lead if schedule will not be met
  
• Prepare the customer fixtures for press fit
  
• Finish the buildup of circuit boards from touch up according to specifications
  
• Ensure proper labeling of circuit boards before sending quality control or testing
  
• Inform supervisor or lead of any issues found on incoming boards to get directions on how to solve or how to fix the problem
  
• Audit kits from Prep/Insert to ensure the kit includes the right customer approved components and count is correct
  
• Ensure production area is clean and maintained
  
• Redline and communicate any documentation discrepancies to immediate supervisor
  
• Communicate any quality issues to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) minutes of finding
  
• Keep safety stock of all production consumables and order supplies as needed through immediate supervisor
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED 
  
• Two years’ established work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or computer component environment
  
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members and stakeholders
  
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  
• Must be able to read and comprehend assembly and build instructions and other written material
  
• Must be able to learn and work with LEAN working methods and processes
  
• Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  
• Ability to learn and follow ISO 9000 process
  
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
