Med Mal Defense Litigation Mid-Level Associate

We are looking for a Med Mal Defense Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to take ownership of cases within our highly-regarded practice. You will be joining the deepest med mal bench in northern New England, with a clear and supported path to partnership.

What will you be doing?

• 
  

  Independently manage a full caseload of complex medical malpractice claims.

  
  


• 
  

  Take depositions, retain and work with medical experts, and handle court appearances.

  
  


• 
  

  Advise on adjacent healthcare law matters, including licensing and risk management.

  
  


• 
  

  Draft motions, communicate with insurer-clients, and manage all aspects of litigation.

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with partners across the firm to build internal relationships.

  
  

Key Requirements

• 
  

  3-5 years of litigation experience (flexible for the right candidate).

  
  


• 
  

  Demonstrated experience in medical malpractice defense is essential.

  
  


• 
  

  Proven ability to manage files, take depositions, and work with experts independently.

  
  


• 
  

  New Hampshire bar admission or the ability to obtain it (wave-in or sit for the exam).

  
  


• 
  

  Must not have a background in plaintiff-side medical malpractice work.
