About the Role:
 

DS+CO is looking for a Media Buyer/Planner to turn client marketing objectives into thoughtful, strategic media plans and bring them to life across digital and traditional channels.

This is a hands-on role responsible for campaign setup, buying, optimization, billing, reporting and vendor coordination. You’ll work closely with senior media staff, account teams and analytics partners to ensure campaigns are accurate, efficient and delivering measurable results.

This role reports to the Associate Media Director. Local employees are required to work in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional in-office time may be needed based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop media plans that align with client objectives, audiences and budgets, particularly for small to midsized campaigns.
• Build, traffic and quality check campaigns across paid search, social, display, programmatic, online video, traditional media and other channels.
• Monitor and optimize campaign performance, identifying opportunities to improve results.
• Manage buying, billing, documentation and financial reconciliation for assigned campaigns.
• Prepare performance reports that translate results into clear insights and recommendations.
• Support client and new business work through research, forecasting and strategic media recommendations.
• Coordinate with media vendors and negotiate placements and pricing to maximize client value.
• Recommend new channels, technologies and optimization opportunities to internal teams.
• Use approved AI and platform tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and insight while applying sound judgment to the work.
• Share knowledge and support the development of junior media team members.

Success in this role means campaigns are accurate, well managed and continuously optimized; reporting helps clients understand performance and next steps; and internal teams can rely on clear communication, sound recommendations and strong attention to detail.

•  At least one year of media planning or buying experience.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into meaningful insights.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities and deadlines as requirements change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Comfort learning and working within digital platforms, vendor systems and collaboration tools.
• Curiosity about evolving media practices, technology and appropriate applications of AI.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with paid search, paid social, programmatic, display or online video campaigns.
• Familiarity with Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Search Ads 360 or other ad-serving platforms.
• Experience with media billing, financial reconciliation or vendor negotiation.
• Experience contributing to client presentations or new business opportunities.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $73,600. This range reflects market benchmarking for the scope and responsibilities of the role, as well as internal equity.
