Job Description - Media Production Coordinator/Studio Operations Manager

The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) is a leading organization committed to advancing the development of counseling professionals within a Christian framework.
We are seeking an organized, outgoing, and technically skilled Media Production Coordinator/Studio Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our media production department and recording studios. This role is responsible for coordinating studio use, managing production projects, maintaining equipment and media assets, and ensuring the quality of content produced by the department.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people as much as working with technology. Strong communication, organization, initiative, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and keep production running smoothly.
Play a key role in producing content that serves the Christian mental health community
Work across production, technology, project management, and studio operations
Help oversee professional recording studios, equipment, and production resources

Travel to national events and support course recordings and live event production as needed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Quality Control
Supervise and lead all podcast and audio assembly
Audio and Video editing using Adobe Creative Suite and other editing, graphics and color-correction software as needed
Review and QC projects produced by the Media Production Department to ensure technical quality, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project requirements
Support the production team in troubleshooting and resolving technical or production-related issues
Travel to events as needed to support course recordings and other production needs
Support weekly in-studio production and postproduction for culture/faith/politics news-talk TV program, and interface with TV networks upon delivery as needed.
Studio Operations and Scheduling
Oversee day-to-day studio operations and ensure recording spaces are organized, functional, and production-ready
Schedule and coordinate all recordings taking place in the studios, ensuring the proper amount of time and resources are allotted, using Outlook Calendar
Coordinate studio availability and room usage to ensure recording spaces are used efficiently
Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for individuals and teams using the recording studios
Maintain production equipment and travel gear located in the control room and studio spaces
Maintain working knowledge of A/V systems, cabling, signal flow, and related production technology
Identify equipment, maintenance, upgrades, and technical needs and coordinate solutions as necessary
Serve as the department project manager using Asana to organize projects, track deadlines, monitor progress, and coordinate tasks
Coordinate project timelines, recording schedules, and production needs to keep projects moving forward
Communicate project updates, delivery status, scheduling needs, and operational priorities with relevant team members and other team leads
Media Asset Management
Manage and organize all media assets stored on local servers, create backups and ensure security in unison with the IT department
Maintain an organized file structure and ensure media assets are accessible and properly maintained
Support consistent file management practices across the Media Production Department
Department Coordination
Provide day-to-day oversight for the Media Production Department
Coordinate department priorities, workflows, and operational needs
Support team members in completing projects efficiently and maintaining production standards
Provide guidance and oversight related to department scheduling, projects, and production activities
Identify opportunities to improve department processes, organization, and efficiency
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of audio/video production processes and studio operations
Working proficient knowledge of professional A/V systems, equipment, cabling, and signal flow
3-5 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite and audio/video editing workflows
Ability to light subjects on set and on location using assorted lighting kits required
Ability to use color correction software to fix and balance projects required
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Outgoing, approachable, and comfortable working with a variety of people
Ability to coordinate schedules and manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues
Ability to work independently while effectively leading and coordinating with a team
Proficiency with Asana, Outlook Calendar, and other project management or production tools
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Broadcasting, Digital Media or a related field, or equivalent professional background
Strong working knowledge of audio/video production, studio operations, and professional A/V equipment
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with audio/video editing workflows
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work confidently and professionally with staff, presenters, and production teams
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues
Comfortable using project management, scheduling, and other digital production tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience overseeing studio operations or a media production environment
Experience with Asana or similar project management platforms
Experience with live event or on-location production
Experience maintaining and troubleshooting professional A/V systems
Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a production team
Familiarity with Christian ministry or nonprofit environments
