We are seeking a creative and motivated Media Production Specialist/Audio-Video Editor to join our team and help produce high-quality video and audio content that inspires, educates, and engages our audience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • Video Editing: Edit footage into cohesive, engaging videos, both longform and shortform, with high production values, utilizing the latest leading styles and techniques, managing the narrative and communicating clearly with compelling storytelling

  • Audio and Video Production: produce, record and engineer high-quality video and audio for courses, podcasts, programs, voiceovers, and other media using studio gear and software

  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with content creators, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver content aligned with brand and mission

  • Technical Proficiency: Use video editing software and graphic editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator) and operate studio equipment such as switchers, routers, cameras, and audio mixers

  • Media Management: Organize, archive, and maintain video and audio files efficiently, following proper file naming and backup procedures

  • Quality Control: Review your own work as final content for submission for accuracy and quality, making revisions based on feedback

  • Creative Input: Conceptualize, design and implement graphics; search for B-roll and stock music, and place appropriately to help communicate and facilitate storytelling

  • Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver work on time

  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and software updates to enhance creative output

  • Broadcast Duties: Support weekly in-studio production and postproduction for culture/faith/politics news-talk TV program

  • Event Production Support: Travel to conferences and events across the United States as needed to record and capture media content in studio and field environments


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Film Production, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro

  • Basic experience with audio editing and production (Adobe Audition or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail, high interest in digital content, and creative vision

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment

  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 45 pounds as needed


 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 



  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics, visual effects, and color grading

  • Experience managing media files and archiving procedures

  • Familiarity with studio equipment operation and setup

  • Experience producing short-form content for social media

  • Experience with videography and camera operation in both studio and field environments

  • Knowledge of camera setup, lighting techniques, and production best practices

  • Ability to assist with studio and field production setup and breakdown

  • Experience capturing high-quality audio in studio or live event environments

  • Proficient writing skills

  • Copywriting experience

  • Technical writing ability

  • Experience writing captions for social media and teleprompter script
