What You'll Do
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional clinical support, assisting with interventional psychiatric treatments, supporting daily operations, and ensuring an outstanding patient experience while contributing to the overall success of the practice.
- Administrative and Operational Support: Support the daily operations of the practice by managing patient scheduling, coordinating referrals, obtaining prior authorizations, maintaining medical records, monitoring clinical inventory, responding to patient inquiries, and completing administrative tasks that promote efficient clinic operations.
- Clinical Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, REMS requirements, organizational policies, and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Clinical Procedures and Patient Care: Prepare patients for appointments by obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, preparing treatment rooms, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, collecting laboratory specimens as appropriate, administering point-of-care testing when applicable, and ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and efficient care throughout their visit.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, therapists, clinical research staff, and administrative team members to ensure seamless communication, coordinated patient care, and operational excellence across all service lines.
- Injection Administration and Spravato® Support: Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections within scope of practice while supporting Spravato® treatment sessions through medication preparation, patient monitoring, documentation, adherence to REMS program requirements, and compliance with established clinical protocols.
- Leadership and Team Support: Provide leadership support by assisting with onboarding and training new employees, serving as a resource for clinical and administrative staff, helping coordinate daily workflows, supporting operational priorities, and stepping into managerial responsibilities as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Patient Engagement and Experience: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care by building positive relationships with patients, educating individuals on treatment expectations, answering questions, addressing concerns, and creating a welcoming environment that promotes trust, comfort, and satisfaction.
- Quality Improvement and Organizational Support: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying workflow enhancements, supporting operational efficiencies, promoting best practices, maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, and assisting with organizational initiatives that improve patient care and clinic performance.
- Regulatory and Safety Standards: Maintain compliance with infection prevention protocols, medication handling procedures, workplace safety standards, equipment maintenance, and all federal, state, and organizational regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Scheduling and Care Coordination: Coordinate patient appointments, facilitate referrals, communicate with pharmacies and insurance providers, assist with treatment scheduling, verify medical documentation, and support continuity of care across behavioral health and clinical research services.
