Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

• Provides front and/or back-office support.

• Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows.

• Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.

• Interviews patient, measures vital signs, and records reason for visit.

• Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.

• Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete.

• Schedules and confirms patient’s appointments.

• Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day.

• Acts as preceptor for orientation and training of new and existing staff.

Requirements:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience and minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant II or as an instructor in a Medical Assistant program; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.

• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

**The posted compensation range represents the national market average. Compensation for roles located in premium or high-cost geographic markets may fall above this range. This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.**
