Medical Assistant or LPN - Primary Care Clinic

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our growing Primary Care Clinic in Uptown Charlotte. This position will work 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Primary Care Physician and Clinic Manager contributing to our mission of filling our community with happy, healthy people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and room patients, take and record vital signs


• Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures


• Administer injections and immunizations as directed


• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas


• Collect and process lab specimens (e.g., urine, blood, swabs)


• Perform EKGs and other diagnostic tests as required


• Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
  


• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions


• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards


• Coordinate prescription refills and prior authorizations

Qualifications

• High school diploma


• Certification as a  Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN)


• Experience within a hospital, primary care, or similar healthcare setting


• High-volume phlebotomy experience

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a clinical outpatient setting (primary care office), with frequent patient interaction.


• Requires physical activity including lifting up to 25 pounds, assisting patients with mobility, bending, and reaching.


• Exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, and potentially hazardous materials is possible; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.


• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often moving between exam rooms and other clinical areas throughout the day.
