Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist - Dermatology

We are a fast-paced, cosmetic and surgical dermatology office seeking a clinically experienced, enthusiastic, reliable, professional, and adaptable Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for our Corte Madera location. The ideal candidate is someone who can work efficiently, and enjoys helping patients with all skin and aesthetic needs! 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years working as a medical assistant with experience assisting in surgeries and procedures in Dermatology


• Active CMA or CPT I License in California


• We can train on phlebotomy 

PREFFERED:

• Must be tech-savvy and proficient using ipads and EMR
  


• Strong customer service skills/experience to create the best patient experience from beginning to end


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
  

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will be taught, but similar experience valued)

• Prepare treatment rooms and conduct telehealth appointments with providers.


• Collect and relay patient health and demographic information to providers.
  


• Assist providers with procedures such as biopsies, excisions/Mohs, injections and aesthetic treatments 


• Prepare solutions for injections using proper technique
  


• Autoclave instruments and sterility technique


• Coordinate with team and supervisor to ensure best patient care is achieved.


• Track and record lab results.


• Perform venipuncture to collect blood samples for PRP


• Administering wound care.


• Greet and room patients; perform intake and health precaution screenings.


• Perform pre and post-treatment education for patients on all treatments.
  


• Prepare pathology/culture specimen for lab pick up and processing.


• Educate patients on products and services available to enhance care.


• Perform sales transactions for products and services.


• Participate in social media and other digital/web-based promotions of the practice.


• E-Prescribe 

Our team consists of aesthetic and advanced medical practitioners who specialize in general dermatology, Mohs skin cancer surgery, lasers, and injectables at two office locations (Corte Madera and San Francisco). While Corte Madera will be your home base, training and cross-coverage may be needed in San Francisco occasionally throughout the year. This position is 40 hours.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $27-$29/hr DOE
