Job Description - Medical Front Office Coordinator Lead - Tampa, FL
We are seeking an experienced Medical Front Office Coordinator Lead for a well-established ophthalmology practice in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical front office operations, particularly in an eye care setting. As the Front Office Coordinator Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk, supporting both patients and staff to create a positive experience from check-in to check-out. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily front office operations, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.
Lead and mentor front office staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient flow and ensure a seamless experience.
Train new front office staff and provide ongoing support for existing team members.
Monitor and order office supplies to keep the front desk running efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly pay ranges from $23 - $29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
2-4 years of medical front office experience, preferably in an ophthalmology or eye care setting.
Leadership experience.
Experience with insurance verification and scheduling systems required.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to successfully pass a drug and background check as part of the hiring process.
Participate in a skills assessment as part of the hiring process.
Availability to work Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM as part of the regular schedule.
Flexibility to follow the scheduling provided two weeks in advance and respond to last-minute changes as needed.
