The role

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist – Microbiology to join our growing laboratory team. This position is responsible for performing complex microbiological testing and providing accurate, timely results that support patient diagnosis and treatment.

What your day looks like

· Perform bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, and microbiology testing according to established procedures 

· Process and culture specimens, identify microorganisms, and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing 

· Evaluate, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly

· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot microbiology instrumentation and equipment 

· Perform quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing activities

· Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and laboratory policies and procedures

· Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records 

· Collaborate with laboratory leadership to deliver exceptional patient results

What you bring

· Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

· ASCP (MLS/MT or MLT), AMT, or equivalent certification preferred

· Microbiology laboratory experience preferred 

· Strong understanding of culture techniques, organism identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing

· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

· Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
