MEDICAL RECORDS CLERK, Full Time - Albany Care, Evanston, IL

Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an opening for a Medical Records Clerk. This is a Monday-Friday, Full Time 1st Shift,  Union Position, with a Pay Rate of $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities if the Medical Records Clerk:

• Promptly respond to requests for retrieving medical records and files
• Collect patient information
• Process patient admissions
• Upload all necessary documents into EMR 
• Ensure necessary medical forms are in stock
•  Schedule appts and transportation for residents

• Previous medical records clerk experience 
• Familiar with medical terminology
• Knowledge of long term care facilities regulations helpful
• Exceptional attention to details
• Highly organized
• Computer proficient
• Must speak, read, and write English
• Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of those with psychiatric conditions
