We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Technologist to join our team in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. If you're a detail-oriented laboratory professional who is passionate about quality patient care and thrives in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
As a Medical Technologist, you will:
Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing accurately and independently within established turnaround times.
Analyze, document, and interpret quality control results to ensure testing accuracy and precision.
Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective actions as needed.
Escalate quality control issues appropriately and maintain thorough documentation.
Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and other applicable laboratory accreditation and regulatory standards.
Follow all laboratory safety procedures and proficiency testing protocols.
Assist with performance improvement initiatives through data collection and analysis.
Help manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and reagents to support operational efficiency.
Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
Current Florida Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Technician license required.
Working knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
PCR experience is preferred, but not required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
