MedPro Database Support Services Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Senior AR Manager, the Database Support Services Specialist will assist the Support Services Supervisor within the specified timelines accurately create and maintain various files, assist with research and resolution of billing inaccuracies related to billing software and formats. Test new software and software upgrades. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process insurance filing status reports generated via billing software, vendor, and clearinghouse to identify program table maintenance needed to solve billing inaccuracies, and communicate significant billing inaccuracies as they are identified, and report resolution progress to MPS management.
• Set up, implement, and test new software programs, and software upgrades.
• Maintain carrier listings by client.
• Assist MPS staff to troubleshoot and/or report software, hardware, and other office equipment malfunctions. Responsible for follow-up on reported systems issues.
• Work in conjunction with Claims Research Specialists to identify program table and file changes needed to resolve billing inaccuracies and make appropriate changes. 
• Monitor claim clearinghouse notices to determine actions required (modify formats, communicate effected parties, etc.).
• Accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
• Assist with Schedule Request, modifications and creations.
• Assist Charge Processing with rejects and exceptions.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Experience with Allscripts Practice Management or similar billing software preferred.
