This role combines deep market analysis with strategic procurement leadership, enabling Qualcomm to secure competitive, reliable, and long\u2011term memory supply across all major business segments (Mobile, Automotive, Compute, IoT, XR, Infrastructure).\n\nThis person will serve as Qualcomm\u2019s internal expert on the memory ecosystem\u2014 driving intelligence, sourcing strategy, supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and continuous improvements in memory procurement processes.\n\nThis role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA. \n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Business, Operations, or related field. \n\u2022 6+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nMarket Insights \u0026 Analytics\n\n * Lead comprehensive DRAM \u0026 NAND market intelligence: supply/demand modeling, pricing trends, cost structures, capacity expansions, and technology roadmaps.\n\n * Track competitive landscape across global suppliers.\n\n * Develop forecast scenarios for executive decision\u2011making on pricing, supply risk, and technology transitions.\n\n * Produce regular dashboards, insights reports, and executive presentations.\n\n\n\n\nMemory Sourcing Strategy \u0026 Supplier Management\n\n * Define and drive Qualcomm\u2019s global memory sourcing strategy, aligned with product roadmaps and business priorities.\n\n * Develop multi\u2011year strategies covering technology roadmaps, supplier positioning, commercial structures, and long\u2011term supply risk mitigation.\n\n * Partner with Engineering and Product Management to align sourcing choices with platform requirements across multiple business lines.\n\n * Lead supplier segmentation and strategic supplier relationship management for memory suppliers.\n\n\n\n\nContract Negotiation \u0026 Commercial Leadership\n\n * Lead commercial negotiations with DRAM and NAND suppliers to secure competitive pricing, supply continuity, and strategic value.\n\n * Structure long\u2011term agreements including pricing frameworks, volume commitments, supply assurance, liability terms, and risk\u2011sharing mechanisms.\n\n * Collaborate with Legal and Finance to ensure compliant, optimized, and risk\u2011balanced contract execution.\n\n * Support quarterly business reviews with suppliers and executive\u2011level negotiations.\n\n\n\n\nProcess Improvement \u0026 Procurement Operations\n\n * Identify and implement procurement process improvements for memory sourcing, including data flows, negotiation frameworks, governance, and supplier management processes.\n\n * Improve cross\u2011functional workflows between Procurement, Engineering, Planning, and Product teams.\n\n * Develop procurement tools, templates, and analytics frameworks to enhance decision\u2011making efficiency and accuracy.\n\n * Increase automation and data\u2011driven insights within the memory sourcing lifecycle.\n\n\n\n\nCross\u2011functional Leadership\n\n * Serve as Qualcomm\u2019s in\u2011house subject\u2011matter expert for all DRAM \u0026 NAND trends, pricing, and strategic procurement matters.\n\n * Partner closely with Engineering, Product Planning, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Executive leadership.\n\n * Provide proactive insights to support NPI readiness, cost planning, and margin improvement initiatives.\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, Business, or related field.\n\n * 8\u201312+ years of experience in semiconductor memory sourcing, memory market intelligence, or supplier management.\n\n * Deep understanding of DRAM \u0026 NAND technologies, cost structures, and supplier ecosystem.\n\n * Demonstrated experience with commercial negotiations and long\u2011term supplier agreements.\n\n * Strong analytical skills (forecasting, modeling, competitive analysis).\n\n * Excellent executive\u2011level communication and presentation skills.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience at a top memory supplier, OEM, or leading semiconductor company.\n\n * Expertise in multi\u2011year sourcing strategy development.\n\n * Strong financial acumen and comfort with complex commercial models.\n\n * Proficiency in analytics and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).\n\n * Experience improving procurement systems, processes, or tools.\n\n\n\n\nSuccess Metrics\n\n * Development and execution of a multi\u2011year memory sourcing strategy.\n\n * Improved cost competitiveness through negotiation outcomes and commercial frameworks.\n\n * Improved forecast accuracy for DRAM \u0026 NAND pricing and supply conditions.\n\n * Reduced supply chain risk and increased supplier diversification strategies.\n\n * Measurable improvement in procurement processes and tools.\n\n * Increased visibility and adoption of memory intelligence across business groups.\n\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
