THE OPPORTUNITY
The MEP Engineer will design and coordinate the building systems that support reliable, high-density technical environments. Depending on discipline, the role may focus on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or integrated MEP systems while working closely with architecture, structural, controls, energy, commissioning, and construction teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop MEP system concepts, calculations, equipment selections, layouts, specifications, and construction documents
Evaluate capacity, redundancy, maintainability, efficiency, and future expansion requirements
Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, fire-protection, and life-safety interfaces
Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, value analysis, and interdisciplinary coordination
Review submittals, answer RFIs, perform site observations, and support testing and commissioning
Work with utilities, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and owner teams to resolve technical issues
Apply current codes, standards, and project-specific reliability criteria
Prepare clear technical reports and communicate design decisions to project stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years of MEP design experience for complex buildings or industrial facilities
Mission-critical, data center, healthcare, laboratory, or advanced manufacturing experience preferred
Proficiency in Revit and applicable analysis or calculation software
Working knowledge of equipment selection, controls, energy use, and construction-phase services
EIT required; Professional Engineer license preferred or the ability to obtain one
Strong interdisciplinary coordination and communication skills
