Merchandise Coordinator

King Ranch is seeking an entry-level Merchandise Coordinator to serve as an integral team member supporting Merchandising, Product Development, and Design across apparel, leather goods, and home. This role is the operational backbone of the merchandising process: managing samples, setting up new items, creating purchase orders, maintaining accurate data, and keeping cross-functional partners aligned and informed. 

What to Expect in the Role: 

• Manage the sample process end to end, including requesting, tracking, logging, and organizing samples for fittings, photoshoots, and line reviews. 
• Set up new items in internal systems, ensuring product attributes, descriptions, and specifications are accurate and complete. 
• Create and issue purchase orders, and maintain accurate PO records including cost, quantity, and delivery details. 
• Own day-to-day data entry and data integrity across merchandising systems, catching and correcting discrepancies before they become downstream issues. 
• Attend cross-functional meetings and prepare clear, accurate recaps with tracked action items and follow-up owners. 
• Communicate regularly with vendors to confirm order details, track sample and production timelines. 
• Maintain organized shared files and trackers so information is easy to find for the broader team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work clearly and professionally across vendors and internal teams. 
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced, calendar-driven environment. 
• Prior experience in a merchandising, retail, product development, or administrative role is a plus, but not required — we're as interested in mindset and work ethic as priority. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
• A proactive, team-first attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever the team needs support. 
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field preferred but not required.
