Your Impact

As a Registered Nurse in Test & Treatment, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care. You’ll be accountable for coordinating care, supporting families, and ensuring every child receives safe, effective, and dignified treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide and oversee high-quality patient care for assigned pediatric patients
• Coordinate care across departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Involve patients and families in care decisions and education
• Develop and document individualized care plans, including goals and outcomes
• Perform safe, structured patient handoffs (SBAR, bedside report, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Interpret diagnostic and lab data to inform care decisions
• Delegate and guide LPNs and support staff within scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement, training, and professional development initiatives
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and Mercy’s values in all interactions

What You Bring

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Active RN license (or compact) in the state of practice

Certifications

• BLS (required within 30 days of hire)
• Additional certifications may include: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, and more (based on unit needs)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and movement throughout shift
