Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach

Immanuel Christian School is seeking a Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach for the 2026–2027 season. We are looking for a qualified coach with strong basketball knowledge who is passionate about developing young student-athletes and helping them build a strong foundation for future success within the girls basketball program.

The head coach will serve as the leader of the middle school girls basketball team and will be responsible for establishing a positive culture that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, growth, sportsmanship, and excellence. The ideal candidate will be committed not only to developing basketball skills but also to mentoring students and helping them grow in character and faith.

In addition to leading the middle school team during the season, the head coach will demonstrate a commitment to age-appropriate player development while working collaboratively with the Athletic Director and varsity coaching staff to create continuity within the girls basketball program and prepare student-athletes for future opportunities at the high school level.

Primary Responsibilities

* Lead and manage all aspects of the middle school girls basketball program
* Develop and implement practice plans that emphasize basketball fundamentals, skill development, and team concepts
* Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and enjoyment of the game
* Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach
* Support and encourage student-athletes in their academic, athletic, spiritual, and personal development
* Assist in creating continuity between the middle school and high school levels of the girls basketball program
* Help prepare student-athletes for future success within the ICS girls basketball program

Qualifications and Requirements

* Prior basketball coaching experience required; experience coaching middle school-aged student-athletes preferred
* Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals, player development, and team concepts
* Ability to lead, mentor, disciple, and build meaningful relationships with middle school student-athletes
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Immanuel Christian School
* Willingness to invest in the growth and development of student-athletes throughout the season
