Responsibilities
Deliver and distribute finished doors to assigned customers.
Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation and delivery of undamaged door units and/or related product.
Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions or complaints to supervisor.
Inspect for any defects or problems that might arise before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition including service with fuel, oil, and water.
Maintain applicable logs and records according to DOT regulations, Record of Duty Status (RODS).
Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.
Secure cargo for transit.
Maintain a clean truck.
Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
Drive a light vehicle, such as a small truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages.
May load and unload vehicle.
Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Performs assembly of interior and exterior doors
Work at various machine centers as needed
Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily
Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance)
Qualifications
Basic: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations). Two (2) years truck driving experience required. Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications. Performs duties in all weather conditions.
Preferred
Flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of building products and forklift experience a plus.
Familiarity with millwork
Experience utilizing an inventory control scanner (RFN)
Prior experience with manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines
Physical
Ability to stand during the entire work shift
Work in tandem using safe lifting practices
Continuously lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment
Repetitive physical motion
High traffic warehouse and shop
Work in a loud environment and wear the provided personal protective equipment.
